Address Confidentiality Program

The Address Confidentiality Program (ACP), administered by the Office of the Attorney General’s (OAG), it is available to victims of family violence, sexual assault, and stalking to help keep their actual address confidential. The ACP provides a substitute post office box address and free mail forwarding services for participants.

The Texas Address Confidentiality Program (ACP), administered by the Office of the Attorney General (OAG), provides a substitute address and mail forwarding service for these victims and members of their household. ACP should be utilized as a portion of an overall safety plan. It is not a witness protection program or a guarantee of safety.

How to Apply?

To apply to the Address Confidentiality Program, you must complete the form published on the OAG website, www.texasattorneygeneral.gov. You may choose to meet with Georgetown PD Victim Services to assist you with safety planning and completing the ACP application or apply on your own. You will need to provide a copy of a protective order, temporary injunction, offense report, or other supporting documentation to verify you are the victim of family violence, sexual assault, or abuse, stalking or human trafficking. Local family violence shelters, sexual assault programs, law enforcement agencies, or prosecutor’s offices can help you enroll in the ACP.
