Support Services
The Support Services Bureau manages dispatch for police and fire, crime trend analysis, warrants, records, and crime analysis, community resource programs, youth programs, victim services, Chaplains programs, animal calls for service, nuisance, code violation, and rabies control. The Support Services has a Community Engagement Unit.
This team conducts presentations to citizens on crime prevention.
The Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association (CPAAA) is a police department-sanctioned organization that works with the Community Resource Officer to support community programs like Blue Santa, National Night Out, Safety Events, and many other programs. Many CPAAA members volunteer to work in jobs internal to the police department.
All volunteer groups wear special attire that defines their volunteer group. They are recruited through our VIPS Program. Volunteer hours are reported monthly through our VIPS Volunteer Coordinator.

The Community Engagement Unit is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of community-oriented programs such as Public Education, Downtown Parking Ambassadors, and the Explorers. The Unit also maintains the positions of School Resource Officer and Community Engagement Officer.
