After the Report
If the suspect was arrested on scene by the officer, s/he will be taken to the Williamson County Jail.
You can look up an inmate by visiting https://www.wilco.org/Elected-Officials/Attorneys/District-Attorney/Court-Lookup and clicking on “Jail Lookup”. You will have two options under the “Jail records” section, “Jail records” and “Jail Bonds Records”. You would click “Jail Records” and enter the required information. You can also call the Jail booking desk at 512-943-1365.
While in custody, the suspect will be interviewed by the Magistrate’s office to determine what type of bond s/he is eligible for. The Magistrate then makes a recommendation to the judge. VINE (Victim Information and Notification Every day)
VINE is a free and anonymous telephone service that provides victims of crime information and notification regarding offenders in the county jail. You can register for notification (phone, email, text) of a defendant’s release by calling 1-877-TX4-VINE (l -877-894-8463) or online at VINELink – Texas (vineapps.com).
If the reported incident was determined to be criminal and the suspect was not arrested, the case will be assigned to an investigator. You may contact Georgetown PD victim services at 512-930-3510 for assistance in determining the assigned investigator.

Juvenile cases are processed through the Williamson County Attorney’s Office. A “juvenile” is a child 10 years of age or older and younger than 17 years of age. The County Attorney’s Office works closely with the Williamson County Juvenile Services Department.

Intimidation
Offenders (or people known to the offender) often contact the person who reported an incident to law enforcement—sometimes to avoid being charged with a crime, and sometimes to convey a threat due to the report. If you are threatened by anyone, call 9-1-1 in an emergency or (512) 930-3510 in a non-emergency situation to make a report and to get help.
