We’ve received several inquiries about the Junior Police Academy for 2024 so here it is.
The Georgetown Police Department is hosting its 10th annual Junior Police Academy this summer. The JPA is a camp designed to strengthen the connection between law enforcement and local youth ages 8-14, giving them a chance to see what it’s like to become a cadet police officer over their summer vacation.
The free camp, geared toward Georgetown residents, is modeled after the police academies that adults attend to become sworn peace officers.
Camps are Monday – Thursday from 8a.m. – 4p.m.

June 10 – June 13 (Ages 10-12)
June 17 – June 20 (Ages 8-10)
June 24 – 26 (Ages 13-14)
July 8 – July 11 (Ages 10-12)
July 15 – July 17 (Ages 13-14)
July 22 – July 25 (Ages 8-10)
July 29 – August 1 (Ages 10-12)
